Cresto Group · Helsingborg, Sweden
Business Development & AI
ABOUT
Cresto Group is an international group specialising in safety at height, PPE, rescue solutions, training and related services. Our companies operate across Europe and the US, spanning manufacturing, product development, sales and specialist services.
We preserve the local entrepreneurship that makes each company strong, while building a smarter, more connected group.
THE ROLE
An exceptional generalist with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong people skills and the drive to turn unfamiliar challenges into results.
We are looking for a future business leader to work closely with the Group CEO and Group CFO at our Helsingborg office. Our companies are small and entrepreneurial — typically 15–50 people each — selling height safety and fall protection equipment, rescue products, training, inspections and services to B2B customers and through distributors.
This is a broad role. You will work across customers, sales, distribution, marketing, product, service, training and supply chain — helping our companies grow, work smarter and make better decisions. You will spend time with everyone from warehouse staff and technicians to sales reps, IT, managing directors and Group management.
Two priorities stand out. A substantial part of the role is to be a hands-on driver of the group's AI transformation — from spotting opportunities and building first experiments to rolling out secure, business-critical solutions with IT. You will also lead the development of our S&OP (sales and operations planning) process. But these are not the whole job: you will take on business development, improvement projects and strategic assignments wherever you can make the biggest difference.
The role is based at our Helsingborg office. Applicants must already live within reasonable commuting distance of Helsingborg; Cresto Group does not provide relocation assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business development — find and pursue growth opportunities: new customers and segments, channels and distributors, offers, pricing, and synergies between our companies.
Business improvement — understand how each company really works, from customers and sales to operations, costs and profitability, and help turn insight into practical improvements.
AI transformation — a substantial part of the role. Spot where AI can make a real difference, experiment and build useful tools and workflows yourself using AI, automation and low-code platforms, and work with IT, security and architecture to scale what works into secure, business-critical solutions.
S&OP and planning — lead the development of our sales and operations planning process, bringing forecasts, demand, supply and teams across companies together around one plan.
Strategic and cross-company projects — take ownership of initiatives with Group management and drive them through to results.
Data and decision support — turn scattered information into useful analysis, forecasts, dashboards and simple management tools that help people decide and act.
People and adoption — work alongside teams from the warehouse floor to the leadership group, so that new ways of working are understood, adopted and actually stick.
No two weeks will look the same. One week you may be out with sales reps understanding why quotes for inspection and training services don't convert — and building an AI-assisted quoting and follow-up workflow with them. The next you may be mapping a distributor opportunity, improving a forecast, or preparing a decision for the CEO.
REQUIREMENTS
What matters most is who you are: drive, people skills, commercial judgement, and real curiosity about what AI can do for a business.
You are likely to have a rigorous, broad education — for example an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management (civilingenjör i industriell ekonomi) — or comparable education or experience. You may be a recent graduate or have a few years of experience behind you. No industry experience is needed.
You are:
• Hands-on with AI — you already experiment with AI tools, have built something useful with them (automations, assistants, workflows, small apps) and are confident enough to lead others in adopting them
• A fast learner who is intellectually versatile and enjoys a wide range of problems
• Driven, with real grit, a sense of urgency and full ownership of your results
• Great with people — you relate just as naturally to warehouse staff and technicians as to sales teams, IT engineers, CFOs and CEOs
• Commercially minded, curious about customers and how companies make money
• Structured and analytical enough to bring order to complex processes such as planning and forecasting
• Comfortable with ambiguity and happy to roll up your sleeves
• Already living within reasonable commuting distance of Helsingborg and able to work on-site at our office
• Please note: we do not offer relocation assistance for this position
You do not need to be a formally trained AI engineer, data scientist, accountant or controller. We are looking for a generalist with the potential to lead — and with the curiosity and confidence to make AI work in practice.
In your application, please tell us about something you have built or improved using AI.
WHAT WE OFFER

• Real responsibility and impact from day one
• Broad exposure to customers, sales and operations across several companies

• A role that grows with you, with broad development opportunities within the Group
