Cresto Group's Safety Technology USA Leads the Way in Bolt Tightening Training

Abilene-based Safety Technology USA (STL USA), part of the Cresto Group, a global authority in working-at-height safety, has emerged as the first North American training provider to offer the BTT Bolt Tightening standard under its training courses. This development strengthens the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training that STL USA has been providing for over a decade.

This breakthrough comes from a company with a long legacy in the wind technician training arena, even before GWO came into existence. Ben Dickens, Vice President of North America, emphasized that their journey started with a dedicated focus on GWO and wind technician training in the US.

The BTT Bolt Tightening module will now join the ranks of existing BTT modules, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Installation, and Mechanical. It is designed to cater to the rising demands in the wind industry regarding the complexity, safety, and quality of bolt tightening.

STL USA worked in collaboration with GWO Training Project Manager Christopher Furlan for the development of the standard. Their insights and feedback from teaching the new module helped mold it into a well-rounded course that addresses critical areas for technicians.
